Choonwondang Medicinal Herb Farms

Choonwondang medicinal herb farms are located in the Gyeonggi-do province near Seoul and also in Jeju island. Medicinal herbs are grown in farms operated by Choonwondang hospital staff with the aim of providing the highest quality herbs to produce the most effective herbal medicines within our own dispensary.

Herbs grown in Choonwondang farms are environmentally friendly using 100% organic fertilizers without being exposed to chemical pesticides.

The whole process of farming, harvesting and packing is strictly regulated to ensure the safety of the herbs. Water and soil are monitored on a regular basis to ensure that the herbs are grown in a clean environment, safe from harmful substances.

We at Choonwondang Hospital of Korean Medicine will continue to do our best to provide the herbs with the highest quality in eco-friendly care.

hoonwondang Herb Farms grow herbs in the following ways:

- We select Korean herb seeds with accurate origins.
- We try our best to manage the environment for manufacturing and processing the herbs safely.
- We keep the soil and water at their optimal condition.
- We do not use pesticides and chemical fertilizers thereby eliminating any concerns for heavy metal and residual pesticides.
- We carry out sensory tests frequently to check for potential diseases and insects.
- After harvesting and completely drying the crops, we cut them in a factory with modern and hygienic facilities.
- We take samples during every step of each process including growth and harvest, and conduct physio-chemical examinations in the Choonwondang Herb Quality Lab.
- After cutting, we check for residual pesticides, heavy metals and sulfur dioxide at the Choonwondang Herb Chemical Experiment Lab.
